About us

We are an organization of workers at the Institute of Philosophy at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Our goal is to improve working conditions for all employees of the Institute and more generally within the institutes of the so-called third scientific area (humanities and social sciences).

We are in dialogue with the management of the Institute about improving the working conditions of employees at our Institute. We are collecting suggestions in this respect from employees.

We have cooperated with the management of the Institute on wage increases.

We have pushed for a change in the collective agreement that limits the chaining of fixed-term contracts.

We have provided employees with a paid version of the DEEPL translator as an employee benefit.

We keep the members informed of new developments in employment law; we can arrange for members to consult with a lawyer specializing in employment law.

Together with the Research Staff Union, we are working to improve the situation across the academia.
