Defender of workers' rights
The OSPVV calls on the management of the CAS to establish an independent ombudsman/defender of employees' rights. In an open letter to the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the Joint Committee of the OSPVV called for establishing an ombudsman/employee rights defender. This function should be unified for the entire Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and utterly independent of the management of the Academy of Sciences and individual institutes. The trade unions also demand that this position should not be filled by anyone who is an employee of an institute of the CAS or the CAS office or their officials.
